The long awaited World Cup is finally here. Football lovers all over the world have been preparing in different ways and forms. From getting the kits of their admired nations to booking the flights and hotel-accommodation ahead of time in different parts of the country and its neighbouring nations like Ukraine, etc various resources have been invested into this.
June 14th 2018 which marks the beginning of the whole events will involve the opening ceremony before the first march popularly known as opening game will begin between the host country (Russia) and Saudi Arabia by 4PM.
Russia has been to the world cup for ten good times while Saudi has been to the owrld cup for just four times beginning from 1994 which coincides with the year that Nigeria went for its first world cup as well.
Nigeria is in Group D comprising of Nigeria, Argentina, Iceland and Croatia.
Nigerian Super Eagles will play their first march on Saturday, June 16 by 8PM against Croatia. This march may be the determinant as there are many things at stake.
With Nigerian players being one of the youngest in the tournament, there is no certainty that these boys can go far in the tournament, however, the manner in which they qualified for the world cup, the experience of the coach, the exposure of some of the key players like Victor Moses, Mikel Obi, Ndidi, Ahmed Musa, Nwobi, etc, Nigeria cannot be written off.
Let us see the way everything will unfold.
